Dave Sagalyn is an associate in Seward & Kissel’s Corporate Finance Group. Dave has practiced at the Firm since 2006. Prior to practicing at the Firm, Dave worked as an associate in the Asset Securitization Group of another internationally-recognized law firm. Dave possesses a broad range of experience in representing virtually all types of participants in the asset securitization industry, including CMBS, CLO, CDO, SIV and multi-seller commercial paper conduit transactions. Dave also represents clients in workouts and restructurings involving a broad array of asset-based financing transactions.

Dave has co-authored articles on a variety of legal topics, including “When In Doubt, Vertical Slice It?”, Asset Securitization Report December 15, 2008, and “The CLO Deep Discount Dilemma”, Asset Securitization Report May 25, 2009 and June 8, 2009.

Dave is a member of the Loan Syndication and Trading Association. He received a B.A. from University of Vermont in 1998 and a J.D. from New York University School of Law in 2001.
