Seward & Kissel LLP represented Star Bulk Carriers Corp. (Nasdaq: SBLK), a global shipping company focusing on the transportation of dry bulk cargoes, in connection with its acquisition of seven vessels from Scorpio Bulkers Inc. (NYSE: SALT).  As consideration, Star Bulk will issue 3 million shares of its common stock to Scorpio Bulkers and assume the outstanding lease obligations of the vessels which are currently at $102.3 million.
