Represented New York-based credit strategies manager Brigade Capital Management, LLC (“Brigade”) in connection with the passive minority investment in Brigade by Asset Management Finance LLC (“AMF”). Brigade is an SEC-registered investment advisor whose products include long/short credit, distressed debt and traditional high yield. Founded in 2007, Brigade has 51 employees and manages $7.9 billion of assets. AMF has committed over $750 million of capital to asset managers, with 21 investments since its inception and seven transactions closing since December 2009. AMF investors include Credit Suisse, Proctor NBF and Tokio Marine. A Seward & Kissel team led by partners Craig Sklar, John Cleary, Ronald Cima and John Ryan and including counsel Dan Murphy and Mike O’Brien and associates Gary Anderson and Joe Morrissey represented Brigade in connection with this transaction.
