M&A – Merger of Saguenay Capital and Strathmore Capital

Represented investment manager Saguenay Capital in connection with its merger with UK-based Strathmore Capital to form a $2 billion fund of hedge funds manager.

Saguenay Capital is a Purchase, New York-based manager of U.S. focused commingled and customized separate account funds of funds. In September 2011, Saguenay completed its merger with London-based Strathmore Capital, which manages customized European hedge fund of funds separate accounts for institutional clients. The combined firm, Saguenay Strathmore Capital, has approximately $2 billion of assets under management with offices in London, New York and Toronto. A Seward & Kissel team led by partners Jim Abbott and Jim Cofer and including counsel Robert Chender and associates Meir Grossman and Kristin Switzer represented Saguenay Capital in connection with this transaction.
