Michael M. Piri is an associate in Seward & Kissel’s Investment Management Group and is located in the Washington, DC office.

Michael’s practice focuses on regulatory and compliance matters affecting registered investment companies, exchange-traded funds and private and public companies.  In addition, he advises on regulatory and transactional issues relating to financial services, cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.

Michael received a M.B.A. and a B.S., magna cum laude, from St. John’s University Peter J. Tobin College of Business, and a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School, where he served as Notes Editor for the Business & Finance Law Review. He authored a Note, titled “The Changing Landscapes of FinTech and RegTech: Why the United States Should Create a Federal Regulatory Sandbox,” 2 Bus. & Fin. L. Rev. 233 (2019).
