In August 2015, Seward & Kissel client, Whitebox Advisors LLC, a Minneapolis based SEC registered investment adviser founded in 2000 by Andrew Redleaf, sold a minority ownership stake to Dyal Capital Partners, a unit of Neuberger Berman Group. Whitebox Advisors manages and advises private investment funds, separately managed accounts and mutual funds and has offices in Minneapolis, Austin, New York, London, and Sydney. Dyal Capital makes minority stake private equity investments in institutional alternative asset management businesses worldwide.
