M&A – Sale of Work-Loss Data Institute to Hearst

Represented Work-Loss Data Institute, a leading provider of health care data and guidelines to the workers’ compensation industry, in connection with its sale to Hearst.

In January 2017, Work-Loss Data Institute, a leading provider of health care data and guidelines to the workers’ compensation industry, was sold to Hearst. WLDI publishes the web-based Official Disability Guidelines, known primarily as ODG®, which are widely used treatment guidelines for workers’ compensation and disability in the U.S., primarily utilized by insurance companies, employers, healthcare providers and state-run agencies. Hearst is a diversified media, information and services company with more than 360 businesses.
