NEW YORK — May 15, 2023 — Seward & Kissel LLP announced today that employment litigator and counselor David Baron has joined the firm as a partner in the Employment Law Group in New York.

David has represented and advised companies of all sizes on employment-related matters in industries such as financial services, life sciences, healthcare, education, technology, and consumer goods. He has extensive experience providing employment advisory services, as well as all aspects of employment litigation, including non-competes and other restrictive covenants, whistleblower retaliation, contract disputes, and discrimination claims. David litigates in state and federal courts, arbitration hearings, and administrative agencies nationwide, regularly achieving advantageous resolutions.

David also counsels and advises clients through all types of employee-related matters including executive and non-executive employment agreements, separations, layoffs, and internal complaints. He conducts and oversees workplace investigations, drafts and implements workplace policies, and advises on employment matters in connection with mergers & acquisitions, spin-outs, and other corporate transactions.

David was most recently a partner at Hogan Lovells, where he began his career in 2011 after earning his J.D. from New York University School of Law. David received his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, graduating magna cum laude.
