Biography
Lawrence Rouslin is special counsel in the Real Estate practice.
His practice centers on the origination of large, structured mortgage loans, many of which are securitized, involving multiple lenders and various levels of debt, including structuring and negotiation of various types of mortgage and mezzanine financings, intercreditor agreements, participations, and co-lending arrangements.
He also represents institutional lenders in modifications, extensions, workouts, foreclosures and deeds-in-lieu, examples of which include (i) restructuring large, multi-tranche loans secured by office buildings and malls, (ii) workouts of office buildings located in New York and Chicago and (iii) numerous modifications of securitized mortgage and mezzanine loans. He has also represented various real estate funds active in the secondary market which have acquired mezzanine loans, mortgage loans, B notes and participations.
