Biography
Nora Shearer is the Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer at Seward & Kissel.
Nora directs all aspects of marketing and business development for the firm. She is a member of the firm’s senior leadership and, together with the Management Committee, is responsible for executing and advancing the firm’s long-term strategy. She brings significant experience to her role, having served as Global Chief Business Development and Marketing Officer at leading AmLaw 50 firms.
Nora has more than 20 years of experience focused on marketing and business development strategies in the legal and finance industries. She was CMO at Shearman & Sterling, where she led the global business development, marketing and communications team across 23 offices. Prior to that, she was Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer at Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP, where she led the integration of the marketing and business development function with her prior firm, Chadbourne & Parke LLP. She has also held roles at DLA Piper, Jefferies & Company and Amherst Securities Group.
