Introducing the Next Chapter for Seward & Kissel

Seward & Kissel is pleased to unveil its latest rebrand grounded in purpose and practicality to showcase the firm’s expertise, true partnership mindset, and steadfast commitment to the success of its clients’ businesses.

“Our new brand reflects the strength of who we are today: a firm grounded in expertise, defined by partnership, and focused on helping clients move forward with confidence,” said Managing Partner Daniel Bresler. “It honors our history while signaling our continued commitment to evolving alongside the industries we serve.”

For more than 135 years, Seward & Kissel has helped clients navigate complexity with purpose, practicality, and industry-leading expertise. As trusted partners to businesses across the financial services and transportation sectors, the firm provides the clarity and confidence needed from formation and growth to transformation. This enduring commitment to collaboration, excellence, and client success served as the foundation for every aspect of the new brand identity.

“Every element of the new brand was designed with intention—from the visual identity and photography to the language and digital experience,” said Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer Nora Shearer. “Throughout the process, we focused on creating a brand that authentically reflects Seward & Kissel’s culture, expertise, and client-first mindset. The result is a modern, distinctive identity that honors the firm’s heritage while positioning it for continued growth and success in the years ahead.”

Elements of the new brand:

  • Logo: The updated logo preserves the Seward & Kissel name while presenting it in a more intentional and modern way. The letterforms are custom, designed to convey connectivity and forward movement, with a refined, smaller ampersand that highlights the strength and recognition of the Seward & Kissel name.  The logo represents the duality at the heart of Seward & Kissel—tradition meeting innovation and expertise paired with partnership.
  • Photography: The photography showcases the people who define Seward & Kissel. Each portrait is a visual representation of the partnership and personal connection that define the relationships with clients and each other.  Additionally, the images on the new firm website are images of downtown New York, the firm’s home of over 135 years.
  • Growth graphic: The Growth Graphic embodies commitment to the commercial success of firm clients. Rooted in the visual language of financial markets, it signals specialized expertise while remaining distinctly purposeful.

The new brand is a result of the collaboration of the firm’s rebrand committee. The Committee, which consisted of long-tenured partners as well as laterals from across all practices, deliberated with energy and patience over each of these design elements.
