Daniel Bresler is the Chair-Elect of Seward & Kissel’s Management Committee and a partner in the Investment Management Group.
Dan advises a diverse range of clients, from emerging managers to established global firms, including fund sponsors, asset managers, institutional investors, and wealth managers. His practice is global in scope, resulting in frequent collaboration with international counsel to deliver integrated, cross-border solutions.
He advises clients on the formation, structuring, and operation of private investment vehicles across asset classes and strategies. Dan brings deep expertise in navigating the complex regulatory and commercial landscape of hedge, private equity, private credit and hybrid fund structures.
He counsels clients on governance frameworks and ongoing compliance matters, including SEC and CFTC registration and examinations. Daniel is recognized for his pragmatic approach and ability to guide clients through market trends and evolving regulatory developments.
Dan received a B.S. from University at Albany, summa cum laude, and a J.D. from Albany Law School, summa cum laude, where he was the Executive Editor for Symposia on the Albany Law Review.
