September 3, 2025
Seward & Kissel LLP announced today that Lindsay Ditlow has joined the Firm as co-head of the Employment Practice.
Ditlow is a veteran labor & employment attorney who has expertise in all facets of employment law. She brings extensive experience representing clients in litigation involving federal and state employment laws and regularly advises on employment matters in corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.
“Lindsay is a highly regarded practitioner whose strategic insight and breadth of experience will be a tremendous asset to our team,” said James Cofer, managing partner of Seward & Kissel. “Her arrival reflects our continued investment in expanding Seward & Kissel’s Employment Practice, which has grown significantly over the past two years.”
Ditlow joins Seward & Kissel from McDermott Will & Schulte, where she played a key role in building and leading the firm’s Employment Practice. She has successfully represented clients in cases involving claims under Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act and state leave laws, the Inevitable Disclosure Doctrine, state discrimination and retaliation statutes, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and state wage and hour laws.
“I’m excited to join Seward & Kissel and help lead the continued growth of the Employment Practice,” said Ditlow. “The Firm’s commitment to innovation and growing the practice makes this a compelling opportunity. I look forward to partnering with David Baron to continue building what is already a responsive, forward-thinking team that delivers outstanding results for our clients.”
“Lindsay’s addition marks a pivotal moment for our group,” said David Baron, co-head of the Firm’s Employment Practice. “Since joining Seward & Kissel in 2023, I am proud of the momentum we’ve built. That someone of Lindsay’s caliber is joining our practice speaks volumes to what we’ve accomplished. Lindsay’s capabilities and experience will be instrumental as we continue to evolve and meet the increasingly complex needs of our clients.”
Ditlow received her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law. She received her B.A. from Tulane University Freeman School of Business.
Ditlow joins Seward & Kissel amid a dynamic year of lateral growth, marked by expansion in key practice areas, including Susanne Burstein, head of Transportation Finance, from Watson Farley & Williams; Randall Adams, a partner in the Litigation & Investigations Group, from Schulte Roth & Zabel (now McDermott Will & Schulte); Jacob Comer, a partner in the Investment Management Group, from Novaquest Capital Management; Caroline Lee, a partner in the Corporate Group, from Dechert; and Edward Vergara, co-head of the Trusts & Estates Practice, from Dungey Dougherty.
