Emilie Oberlis is an associate in the Investment Management Group. Emilie advises sponsors and managers of private investment funds, particularly private equity funds, private credit funds, real estate funds, hedge funds, and funds of funds, on the structuring, formation, offering of interests, and ongoing management of such funds.
In addition, Emilie counsels registered and unregistered investment advisers on regulatory compliance matters, including SEC registration requirements and available exemptions, Form ADV and other regulatory filings, and SEC examinations.
Prior to joining Seward & Kissel, Emilie worked at several international law firms and in-house at a large investment manager. Emilie is a member of the Pro Bono Advisory Council of New York Lawyers for the Public Interest.
