Biography
Eric Buchanan is an associate in the Mergers & Acquisitions practice whose practice focuses on emerging companies and venture capital transactions, as well as investment management transactions.
He advises founders, investors and management teams across a wide range of matters, including venture capital and growth equity financings, primary and secondary investments, mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures, liquidity events, and complex ownership and governance structures.
Eric is a pragmatic deal lawyer who helps clients navigate the intricate interplay between legal considerations and business realities. Known for being a good listener and clear communicator, Eric takes the time to understand each client’s specific risk tolerance and commercial and strategic goals so that he can provide practical, client-tailored and actionable guidance that supports efficient and informed decision-making.
Outside of his legal practice, Eric enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors. His hobbies include hiking, skiing, taking trips to the beach, and spending quality time with his wife, son and friends.
