Erin Galipeau is special counsel in Seward & Kissel’s Investment Management Group. Prior to joining the firm, Erin worked at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for 18 years, including in its Division of Examinations where she examined investment advisers and investment companies, as well as in the Office of Chief Counsel in the Division of Trading and Markets where she focused on broker-dealer regulation and registration issues and crowdfunding initiatives. Erin was also Vice President, Senior Counsel at the Managed Funds Association and an associate in the asset management group of a large global law firm.
Erin received a J.D. from American University Washington College of Law and a B.A. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She is admitted to practice in Washington, D.C. and Maryland.
