Jeannette Rovira co-chairs the firm’s Banking, Payments, and Fintech practice, advising banks, payments service providers and infrastructure developers, and non-bank financial institutions on a broad range of bank regulatory matters, critical developments in the payments ecosystem, complex issues confronting non-bank financial institutions engaged in banking-related activities, and supervisory and enforcement matters.

Jeannette has deep experience advising business, treasury, risk, compliance, and regulatory reporting teams. She has served as in-house counsel at a global systemically important bank, and at a large, complex financial institution, providing strategic guidance on high-impact regulatory and transactional matters. This background provides her unique insight into the specific needs of in-house attorneys, giving her uncommon ability to produce targeted, usable, and business-ready legal advice.

Jeannette has key regulatory relationships with the Federal Reserve, FDIC, and OCC, and is well-known for her advocacy efforts in representing clients before the federal banking agencies. She is a frequent speaker on banking and financial services topics and has participated in industry conferences hosted by organizations such as SIFMA and fintech forums nationwide.

Jeannette received her J.D. from The George Washington University Law School and her B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin. She is also active in several professional organizations, including the Federal Bar Association, where she serves as the secretary of the Banking Law Executive Committee; and the American Bar Association.
