Biography
Sonita Bennitt is a partner in Seward & Kissel’s Tax Group.
Sonita’s practice primarily focuses on federal income tax issues in connection with the formation and operation of private investment funds, including venture capital, private equity, credit and real estate funds (including the formation and operation of REITs). She regularly advises clients on collective investment vehicles with tax-exempt, domestic and non-U.S. investors. She also advises clients on the federal income tax aspects of commercial transactions.
Prior to joining Seward & Kissel, Sonita was a counsel in the Tax group at Goodwin Procter LLP.
