Seward & Kissel LLP is pleased to announce that Bruce Paulsen, along with Cherie Spinks from Simmons & Simmons LLP, have again co-authored a chapter in Global Investigation Review’s Guide to Sanctions – Third Edition. The Guide to Sanctions is a first-of-its-kind publication, providing an in-depth review of economic sanctions laws, export controls, enforcement, and compliance.
Seward & Kissel’s chapter, titled “Navigating Conflicting Sanctions Regimes,” an excerpt of which is available here, focuses on sanctions regimes in place in the United States and the European Union. In addition, the Chapter provides a detailed study of the U.S.’s anti-boycott laws, including the history, applicability, and breadth of those laws. Finally, the Chapter discusses best practices for drafting contractual language, performing due diligence, and managing sanctions-related risk.
Seward & Kissel congratulates Cherie Spinks at Simmons & Simmons, and the other editors and contributors, for an extraordinarily detailed and comprehensive third edition of the Guide to Sanctions.
Bruce Paulsen is a member of Seward & Kissel’s Sanctions Practice Group.
