Seward & Kissel LLP’s New York-based practice routinely advises public and private maritime companies, financial institutions and other industry participants on major financings. Acting for both borrowers and lenders, the team’s workload encompasses loans, finance leases, and alternative financing deals. It also assists with structured finance, debtor-in-possession and exit financings, credit support, and security interests in vessels in the US and US-influenced jurisdictions including the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Liberia and Vanuatu. Mike Timpone leads the maritime and transportation finance practice, while Keith Billotti and Edward Horton co-head the maritime and transportation capital markets and corporate securities group.
