Biography
Craig Sklar is a partner and the Co-Head of Seward & Kissel’s Mergers & Acquisitions practice and Co-Lead of the Wealth Management practice.
Craig previously served on Seward & Kissel’s Management Committee for 11 years and currently serves as the Firm’s Lateral Recruiting Partner.
Craig represents asset management, wealth management and other investment management firms, private investment funds, financial institutions, public and private companies and business owners in connection with a variety of business transactions, general corporate matters and succession planning. Representative transactions include mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic alliances, private equity transactions, venture capital transactions and seed capital arrangements, with a particular focus on investment management, broker-dealer and other financial services industry transactions. Craig also acts as an editor for IM Deals® (a blog covering investment management industry transactions).
Craig’s work has been recognized by Chambers USA, The Legal 500, IFLR and New York Super Lawyers. Additionally, Craig is featured in the Lawdragon 500 Leading Dealmakers in America Guide.
