Biography
Thomas O’Connor is an associate in the Real Estate practice, where he advises public and private clients on a broad range of domestic and international real estate transactions.
His practice encompasses equity investments, financings, acquisitions and dispositions, REITs, fund formation, sale-leasebacks, restructurings, joint ventures, mortgage note purchases, forbearances, and real estate development.
Tommy has experience across multiple asset classes, including industrial, cold storage, multifamily, medical, office, retail, entertainment, and hospitality properties. He also advises on real estate aspects of corporate transactions, including financings, bankruptcies, and mergers and acquisitions.
Known for his practical and solutions-oriented approach, Tommy develops creative strategies to address complex legal, operational and business issues, with a focus on achieving efficient, commercially sound outcomes for his clients.
Tommy maintains an active pro bono commitment, including representing nonprofit organizations, community groups, educational institutions, and small business owners. He has served, and continues to serve, on the boards of several nonprofit organizations, foundations, and alumni associations.
Tommy earned a B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross, an M.S. in Real Estate Finance and Investment from New York University, and a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law.
