Seward & Kissel Transaction Wins M&A Advisor 2019 Cross-Border Deal of the Year Award

On November 21, 2019, The M&A Advisor announced the winners of the 2019 M&A Advisor Awards at its 18th Annual Gala in New York City. The Awards recognize excellence, honor achievement and facilitate connections among the world’s leading dealmaking professionals. This year, over 200 nominees, representing over 500 companies, became finalists for the awards, with an independent judging committee of 28 top M&A industry experts determining the ultimate recipients of the awards. A transaction on which Seward & Kissel worked – the Merger of Transocean and Ocean Rig – was named the winner of Cross Border M&A Deal of the Year (over $1B).
In addition to the Firm’s recognition on this matter, Partner and Co-Chair of Seward & Kissel’s Business Transactions Group Jim Abbott received The M&A Advisor’s 2019 Leadership Award, and was inducted into its Hall of Fame.
